CHAO Yu Hang Christopher (Chinese: 趙汝恒) is a Chinese engineer and educator, currently serving as the vice president [1] of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University since 1 September 2021. Previously he serve as the Dean of Engineering and Chair Professor of Mechanical Engineering [2]at The University of Hong Kong (HKU). He is also a board member of the Cyberport. Prof. CHAO received his First Degree from the University of Hong Kong, and Master's and PhD from UC Berkeley, all in Mechanical Engineering.
Area of expertise
[edit]His research covers areas of bioaerosol dispersion, deposition and resuspension in indoor air and the impact on infectious disease transmission; solar and waste heat driven advanced cooling systems; passive radiative cooling; nanofluid and bioinspired heat transfer.
