Subscribers, called "Curators," contribute news about restaurant openings, events, business developments, and neighborhood activities. This model supports a free, community-driven approach to local news and cultural coverage.[2]
Curator Storytelling Series
[edit]In addition to news and event coverage, CurationsLA hosts the Curator Storytelling Series, which highlights personal stories from individuals across diverse backgrounds in Los Angeles. This series aims to humanize local voices and showcase experiences from various walks of life. The storytelling archive features notable contributors such as comedian Yelena Friedman, entertainment lawyer Robert Freund, social media personality Peet Montzingo, and others.[3]
The storytelling approach reflects the founder’s earlier work with ShareGVL in Greenville, South Carolina, a community initiative that focused on connecting people through personal stories.[4]
Community Engagement and Initiatives
