Submission declined on 24 February 2025 by Theroadislong (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Early Life
[edit]Born David Roland Reed Jr on September 28, 1989 in Russellville Arkansas is an American contemporary Christian singer, musician and songwriter. David Reed was raised in a Christian home, the oldest of 3 children with brother Nathan and sister Samantha—of parents David and Cynthia (née Fondren) Reed. David's talent for music was apparent at an early age, as he started playing piano at 9 years old. He then joined his High School marching band where he played trumpet.
David Reed began leading worship for his youth group at Russellville Christian Center[1] at 13 years old. In 2007, he graduated Pottsville High School in Pottsville Arkansas and began attending Arkansas Tech University. He met his now wife Rachel Anne Reed (née Choate) and began attending her church, the Journey, in Russellville, Arkansas. David Reed subsequently began leading worship at the Journey and did so until 2012.
Early Career
[edit]In 2012, David Reed joined the United States Air Force and went to basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. He honorably served as a 3e4x1 Water and Fuel Systems Maintenance for 6 years. David Reed left active duty and transferred to the United States Air Force Reserve, stationed at Tinker Air Force Base and completed 2 years, bringing his total time in military service to 8 years.
When leaving active duty, David Reed went to work for his father, David Reed Sr., at his company, Cutting Edge Tooling LLC. David's initial role was that of production manager for the machine shop, but eventually moved into a Chief Operating Officer role in 2019. Through contract acquisition, David was able to expand the machine shop and subsequently bought the shop from his father in 2021.
Music Career
[edit]Singles
[edit]"Our Lives"
[edit]When David Reed and Rachel Reed got married, David wrote an original song to play and sing at the wedding in 2009. For nearly 15 years, the song sat on a notebook, not seeing the light of day. One of David's closest friends, Jeremy Huddleston, owns a music production company, Huddleston Music[2]. Taking a lot of convincing, Jeremy finally got David to agree to record "Our Lives" and give it to Rachel Reed on her birthday, May 1. David described it this way: "I was sick to my stomach. It's one thing to lead worship in front of a live audience. It's an entirely different thing to hear all of your vocal imperfections front and center. I was very insecure about recording, but I'm so thankful that Jeremy convinced me to do it."
What was originally intended to only be heard by Rachel Reed, turned into David Reed's first single and was released in 2024.
"Fifteen Years"
[edit]In 2024, David wrote and recorded "Fifteen Years". The song described the long term struggles of being married to the same person for 15 years, but still loving one another after all that time. "Fifteen Years" was also released in 2024.
EP's
[edit]"The Wilderness EP"
[edit]Leading worship was always something that David Reed did. Even in the military, he found places to serve God with his musical talent. So it's not a surprise that his first EP was in the worship genre. This EP was released in March 2025.
