Richard "Dick" Trimmer is an American football coach. He was inducted into the Chico State University Sports Hall of Fame.[1]

Early life

Trimmer graduated from the University of Northern Colorado.

Career

He began his coaching career at Boulder High School.[2]


Trimmer was an assistant coach for the Chico State Wildcats football team for six seasons. In 1974, director of athletics Don Scott and chairman Dick Marshall named Trimmer as head coach for the football team, succeeding Pete Riehlman.[3]
