Dimiter Yordanov (born 1990 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria) is an American film and television composer, singer, and performing artist based in Seattle. He is best known for composing the full original score for the 2024 documentary The Kindness Within: A Journey to Freedom, which won Best Documentary and the Golden Palm Award for Best Film at the Beverly Hills Film Festival. The film premiered on Amazon Prime in 2025.[1]
Dimiter is also known for composing the full original score for both seasons of documentary series The Kindness Diaries, on Netflix and Discovery+. During his work on the series, he wrote and performed the acoustic vocal track "Rain," which received a significant positive response from viewers and marked the beginning of his career as a singer-songwriter.[2]
He contributed substantially to the score of the documentary You Cannot Kill David Arquette (2020), which won the SXSW Adobe Editing Award and the Audience Award for Best Documentary at the Charlotte Film Festival.[3][4]
Dimiter was featured as "Artist of the Week" by Seattle Refined in 2020.[2]

His contributions to these projects earned him critical acclaim, with You Cannot Kill David Arquette winning several prestigious awards.
Dimiter's work was also featured in Discovery+ productions, where he worked on a variety of music and compositions for documentaries and series.
