Dylan Gilmer (born March 4, 2009), known professionally as Young Dylan, is an American rapper, singer, and child actor best known for starring in theNickelodeon series Tyler Perry's Young Dylan (2020).

[edit]Gilmer was born on March 4, 2009, in Annapolis, Maryland to Damon Gilmer and Deaundra DeJesus.[1][2] He grew up listening to Drake.[3][4] He went viral at age 6 after his parents posted a video of him singing Don't by Bryson Tiller.[2][5][6] At 7, he per
Acting
[edit]Gilmer first auditioned for America's Got Talent, and later appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show as a guest.[3][7] During his appearance, Tyler Perry visited and revealed that he had teamed up with Nickelodeon to create a comedy series starring Gilmer, being Tyler Perry's Young Dylan. He had also appeared on All That as the musical guest prior to the show's premiere.[8]
