emma is a Luxembourg-based technology company that provides a no-code, AI-powered multi-cloud management platform. The platform is designed to help businesses simplify, automate, and optimize operations across multiple cloud service providers, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure.

History

[edit]

emma was founded in 2019 and launched publicly in November 2021 with the goal of addressing the growing complexity in managing multi-cloud environments. The platform was designed to help organizations manage workloads across different cloud providers through a single interface without requiring extensive coding or cloud-specific expertise.[1][2]

In 2024, emma secured $17 million in Series A funding, led by Dawn Capital with participation from existing investors RTP Global, AltaIR Capital, and CircleRock Capital. The investment was aimed at accelerating the company’s international expansion, particularly in the United States and Western Europe, and enhancing its product development roadmap.[3]

Earlier, in 2023, the company raised $6 million in seed funding, led by RTP Global.[2] The funding was used to expand emma’s engineering team and launch advanced features such as AI-based workload analysis and predictive cloud cost optimization.

Technology

[edit]

emma’s platform is designed as a low/no-code multi-cloud management tool. It enables enterprises to operate workloads across multiple cloud providers seamlessly. With key features mentioned:

  • Machine Learning Workload Optimization: Uses behavior analysis to predict and reduce cloud spending, delivering average savings between 45% and 77%.[2][4]
  • Multi-Cloud Networking Backbone: A proprietary networking infrastructure that connects various cloud providers, reducing reliance on third-party networking solutions and cutting data transit costs.[2]
  • Unified Management Console: Offers centralized control over microservices, security configurations, network policies, and infrastructure across clouds. [1][2]
  • AI-driven Automation: Enables visibility and control over cloud infrastructure.[3][4]

In 2025, the company began offering enhanced AI capabilities integrated with hyperscaler environments like AWS. These updates included real-time monitoring, anomaly detection, and governance tools specifically designed for hybrid and multi-cloud strategies.[5]
