Friendy Dhaliwal(real name Gurpreet Singh Dhaliwal, born August 1, 1988) is an Indian film and music video director, known for his work in the Punjabi film and music industry. He has directed over 50 Punjabi music videos and is associated with various projects in the Punjabi entertainment scene.

Early Life and Education

Gurpreet Singh Dhaliwal was born on August 1, 1988, in Amritsar, Punjab, India, into a well-established Punjabi family. His father is Balbir Singh Dhaliwal and his mother is Satwinder Kaur. He completed his schooling at Jai Bharat Model School, Amritsar, and later graduated from Khalsa College, Amritsar.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Dhaliwal enjoys traveling, photography, sports, and horse riding. He is known for maintaining a private personal life and rarely shares photos with his family in the public domain.

Career

Friendy Dhaliwal began his career in the Punjabi entertainment industry as a music video director. His first notable work was the song "Bhagat Singh" by Punjabi singer G Sonu, which aired on PTC Punjabi and was published on Yaar Anmulle Records' YouTube channel.

Following his debut, he directed multiple successful music videos, including:

Akhiyan Nashiliyan Ohi Munda Mastan De Hoke Aaveen Dhan Baba Nanak In 2015, the music video for "U.K" by singer Dhira Gill gained widespread popularity, accumulating over 2.8 million views on YouTube.

Over the years, Dhaliwal has directed more than 50 Punjabi music videos, working with various well-known artists.

Other Work and Contributions Friendy Dhaliwal also runs a free acting school for underprivileged children near Punjab Naatshala in Amritsar. He is a member of the Indian Film & Television Directors' Association (IFTDA).
