Government Engineering College, Ajmer (GECA) is a public engineering institute located in Ajmer, Rajasthan, India. It was established in 1997 by the Government of Rajasthan to promote technical education in the region. The college is affiliated with Bikaner Technical University (BTU) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
History
[edit]The college was set up in 1997 as part of the state government's initiative to expand access to engineering education in Rajasthan. Since its inception, the institute has been offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various engineering disciplines.
Campus
[edit]GECA is situated on NH-8, near Badliya Chouraha, Ajmer. The campus is spread over approximately 300 bighas (about 187.5 acres) of land and includes administrative buildings, academic departments, hostels, a central library, sports facilities, and laboratories.
Academics
[edit]The college offers B.Tech, M.Tech, and MCA programs. Admissions to undergraduate courses are through the Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP), and postgraduate admissions are through GATE, RMCAAP, or university-level entrance exams.
