From the initial funding (2016) of €10 million in around led by Xavier Niel.[5], the company has undergone several funding rounds: an additional €15 million in Series B funding from Serena Capital, Breega Capital, and Xavier Niel (2018);[6] €21 million in a Series C round led by Elaia Partners and Bpifrance.[7] In 2021, Marlin Equity Partners acquired a 51% stake in the company, valuing it at approximately €200 million.[8]
In 2019, iBanFirst expanded by acquiring the Dutch payment institution NBWM[9] and the German fintech Forexfix.[10]
