IDI MENYA Musa Idi Menya is a Ugandan lawyer, politician, and humanitarian activist who founded Anadolu Foundation in 2025.

Background and education He was born in Wantund Village, Busede Subcounty in Jinja District, Eastern Uganda, on 26 January 1989 to Idi Menya Sn (1924-1999) and Rahmah Nampeera (1958-2002). Idi Menya studied law at the International University of Africa in Khartoum Sudan, graduating with the degree of Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in 2013. In 2015, he obtained a Diploma in Turkish Language from Ankara University (Turkey). In 2019, he obtained a Master's degree in Public Laws (LLM), specializing in Administrative Law, from Istanbul University (Turkey), his thesis was titled Provision of Public Services by Private Law Persons a Comparative Study between Turkey and Uganda. He is now finalizing his PhD Doctorate in Public Laws specializing in International Law from Istanbul University.

In August 2018, Menya participated in the Law on the Bosphorus Istanbul International Summer School 2018, 6-17 August 2018 Human Rights, Terrorism and Refugees, presenting about Human Rights and Refugee Crises in Uganda on 10th August 2018. Political Career In April 2018, Menya announced his political ambitions to contest for Butembe Constituency seat in the 2021 general elections just to be denied a party flag by his National Unity Platform (NUP) party and being diverted to rather run for Jinja District Chairperson Local Council Five where his nomination was violently blocked by the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) candidate and his gangs in collaboration with the residing officer Kagona Steven so that NRM candidate would go unopposed. He raised the case to the regional electoral commission in Jinja which forwarded him to Kampala, the headquarters; however, no positive response was achieved. Some of Menya commentaries about the 2021 general elections were published in international newspapers 2026 presidential election On 11 June 2024, Menya formally announced his bid to run for president in the 2026 general election, promising to transform Uganda's economy.

Humanitarian work Kyagulanyi has supported several practical projects to improve conditions for many lives in Uganda. In 2015 while studying in Turkey, he got connections to different humanitarian aid organizations that have sponsored many programs in Uganda like clean water projects in different districts of Uganda, giving dairy goats to widows, providing clothes to orphans and vulnerable children, providing food to the needy, and construction of worship places among others. In July 2024, Menya launched tens of boreholes in Kaliro District, prior to that, he had donated boats to fishermen in the district. In July, Menya launched a borehole visited some of the ,Kyegegwa district villages mostly in Mpara Subcounty which were extremely hit by drought. he donated some boreholes to the people of Byatara village and later to Kiburara Primary School a school with over 1000 pupils without water source.
