The ISA101 is a Human-Machine Interface (HMI) standard developed by International Society of Automation (ISA).^[1]

The standard recommends technical rules for the design of the displays of the HMI of the following areas:

Menu hierarchies
Screen navigation
Graphics and color conventions
Dynamic objects
Alarm representation^[1]
