History
LRQA was previously part of Lloyd’s Register’s Business Assurance and Inspection Services division. In 2021, it was established as an independent business following its acquisition by funds managed by Goldman Sachs Asset Management.[3]
In 2023, LRQA appointed Ian Spaulding as its Chief Executive Officer, effective from September 1. Spaulding, who previously led ELEVATE and served on LRQA’s executive committee following its acquisition, succeeded Paul Butcher, who stepped down after five years.[4]
