Question from OpehStru (12:54, 29 April 2025)
Hi GrayStorm,
I hope you're doing well! I recently created a draft article about an important building currently under construction: Mercedes-Benz Places ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Mercedes-Benz_Places ). I tried to follow the Wikipedia guidelines regarding notability, reliable sources, and neutral tone.
Could you please take a look and let me know if the article is on the right track or if there are any improvements I should make before moving it toward publication?
Thank you very much for your time and guidance!
Best regards, --OpehStru (talk) 12:54, 29 April 2025 (UTC)

Hi Lordseriouspig,

- You’re using too many words such as “renowned”, “exclusive”, and other word that advertise elements of the building, as well as sentences like “commitment to enhancing green space”, and “premium office spaces, state-of-the-art wellness facilities, curated retail areas, and a luxury hotel”. I’d recommend reading WP:NPOV and WP:PROMO for help along those lines. Also try and include more sources per WP:REFB Lordseriouspig 20:24, 29 April 2025 (UTC)

Confusion!
Yo! What's up? Just made my first ever edit yesterday, adding Connor Price's full discography to his page. It was taken down because it might have been spam, but I saw that it said that you put it back up on my behalf? But when I checked the page, it wasnt there? Idk man, im just confused. Any help is appreciated! Crckt (talk) 00:46, 1 May 2025 (UTC)
Commissioned Article
HiLordseriouspig, I hope you're doing well. I have a question for you: I've been asked to write a Wikipedia page for a small company that works in the field of environmental sustainability. I'm aware that Wikipedia does not allow promotional content, so I'm aiming to write the page from a purely informational and neutral perspective, focusing on the company's initiatives and their positive impact on international communities. Do you have any tips or best practices for ensuring that the page aligns with Wikipedia’s standards and guidelines? Thank you in advance for your help! TheGreenPenWrites (talk) 08:17, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
- If you are commissioned to edit you must disclose so as per WP:PAID (n.b., follow this policy regardless if you are paid by them or not). Furthermore I’d recommend you read WP:COI so you can aim to reduce the bias and any potential promotional tone in your writing. After reading those articles, you should be good to go. Lordseriouspig 09:09, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you, @Lordseriouspig — I really appreciate your guidance! I’ve read through both WP:PAID and WP:COI, and I’ve added the appropriate disclosure to my user page and sandbox. I’ve tried my best to keep the tone neutral and focused on verifiable information with reliable sources.
- I’d be very grateful if you could take a look at my draft and let me know if there’s anything that needs improving or adjusting to better align with Wikipedia standards. Here it is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:TheGreenPenWrites/sandbox TheGreenPenWrites (talk) 18:33, 1 May 2025 (UTC)

Interface administrator changes
- Following an RfC, administrator elections were permanently authorized on a five-month schedule. The next election will be scheduled soon; see Wikipedia talk:Administrator elections for more information. This is an alternate process to the RfA process and does not replace the latter.
- An RfC was closed with consensus to allow editors to opt-out of seeing "sticky decorative elements". Such elements should now be wrapped in {{sticky decoration wrapper}}. Editors who wish to opt out can follow the instructions at WP:STICKYDECO.
- An RfC has resulted in a broad prohibition on the use of AI-generated images in articles. A few common-sense exceptions are recognized.
- A New Pages Patrol backlog drive is happening in May 2025 to reduce the backlog of articles in the new pages feed. Sign up here to participate!

Question from PeteskiPete (20:44, 19 May 2025)
Hi there mentor! Please may I ask for your help about how to get consensus for a couple of proposed edits here: Talk:UserBenchmark - specifically point 1, 9 and 10 under "Discussion on deleted edits". I had contacted a couple of editors, just one has replied and I think I need two. Just wondering how to proceed if I don't get a response? I read up on wp:third opinion and wp:request for comments, but I'm not sure the proposed edits are that controversial to warrant those steps. Appreciate your time. --PeteskiPete (talk) 20:44, 19 May 2025 (UTC)

Articles for Creation backlog drive

Hello Lordseriouspig:
WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in June!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than 1 month of outstanding reviews from the current 3+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 June 2025 through 30 June 2025.
You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.
Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 3200 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:25, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
- If you wish to opt-out of future mailings, please remove yourself from the mailing list or alternatively to opt-out of all massmessage mailings, you may add Category:Wikipedians who opt out of message delivery to your user talk page.

How to I upload an article --Mohammad-Kawsarul (talk) 13:33, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
- Hi User:Mohammad-Kawsarul ! I am new here but I'll try to help out. First of all, all of us newbies are recommended to do some training and research before even start to think about creating a new article. I suggest you check the Learn to edit section on your user page. This will give you a general knowledge on what you can and cannot do on Wikipedia. Once you have read everything (it'll be a lot), a good second step could be answering other users' questions on their talk pages. Lastly I recommend editing existing articles before creating an original one (this is what I have been told to do myself, and I'm learning a lot along the way). I hope this helps!
