MGM University

MGM University is a private university located in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India]]. It was established in 2019 under the MGM University Act, 2019 (Maharashtra Act No. XXVI of 2019) by the Mahatma Gandhi Mission, which has been active in the field of education and healthcare since 1982. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in engineering, technology, design, science, law, commerce, management, fine arts, and liberal studies.

History

The parent body, Mahatma Gandhi Mission (MGM), was founded in 1982 by Hon. Kamalkishor Kadam, an educationist and former Minister of Education in the Government of Maharashtra. With over 70 institutions across India, MGM ventured into university-level education through the establishment of MGM University in Aurangabad.

MGM University was created by transforming some of the long-standing colleges and institutions of MGM in Aurangabad—particularly the Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College—into schools under the university umbrella.

The university is located on a large, green, urban campus in the MGM Educational Campus, N-6 CIDCO, Aurangabad. It includes:
