Maargan is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language crime thriller film written, directed, and edited by Leo John Paul in his directorial debut, starring Vijay Antony, alongside Ajay Dhishan and P. Samuthirakani. The film has music composed and produced by Vijay Antony himself under his Vijay Antony Film Corporation banner, while the cinematography is handled by Yuva S.
Maargan is scheduled to release in theatres on 27 June 2025.

Production
[edit]After Mazhai Pidikkatha Manithan and Hitler (both 2024), Vijay Antony joined hands with award-winning editor Leo John Paul in his directorial debut.[1] The film is produced by Vijay Antony himself and was tentatively titled VAFC12, marking the 12th production under his banner.[2] The murder mystery crime thriller film[3] was titled Gagana Maargan and was revealed on 16 October 2024.[4] On 23 November 2024, a poster was released featuring Antony's nephew Ajay Dhishan debuting as the antagonist.[5] The film also includes P. Samuthirakani, Mahanadi Shankar, Prithika, Brigida Saga, Vinod Sagar, Deepshikha, Kalakka Povadhu Yaaru Archana, Kanimozhi, Anthagaram Natarajan and others in crucial roles.[6] The film has cinematography handled by Yuva S, art direction by Raja A, editing by Leo John Paul, and music by Vijay Antony himself.[7]
The production got wrapped in early October 2024 before the official announcement was made.[8] During release date announcement on 14 May 2025, the film's titled was renamed to Maargan due to undisclosed reasons.[9][10]

[edit]Maargan is scheduled to release in theatres on 27 June 2025.[13] Apart from Tamil, the film is also planned to release in Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi and Telugu languages.[14]
