Marc Beyrouthy (born July 26, 1978) is a Lebanese agricultural engineer, researcher, television personality, and environmental advisor. He is the founder and CEO of Nature by Marc Beyrouthy, a Lebanon-based consultancy and environmental organization promoting biodiversity conservation, sustainable landscaping, and community-centered agricultural practices. He is also known for hosting the long-running TV program Nature on MTV Lebanon since 2009 and for serving as an advisor to Lebanon's Ministry of Environment.
\== Early life and education == Marc Beyrouthy was born in Kartaba, Mount Lebanon, on July 26, 1978. He grew up between Kartaba and Jbeil (Byblos), where his family has a long tradition in agriculture and landscaping. He earned a French Baccalaureate in Sciences from Frères Maristes College in Jbeil. He later obtained a degree in Agricultural Engineering with high distinction.
He pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education at the Université du Littoral Côte d’Opale in France (2011–2013), followed by a Habilitation à diriger des recherches (HDR) from the University of Chester in the United Kingdom (2018). He also has a PhD in green management from Marseille University (2013). He participated in a Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) program on recycling policy in 2019.
\== Academic and research career == Beyrouthy served as Head of the Agricultural Sciences Department at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK), where he also co-founded the university's Green Committee. Under his leadership, USEK was recognized as Lebanon’s top green university in international sustainability rankings.
He holds two PhDs and has published more than 115 scientific papers, with over 4,000 citations. His research focuses on plant physiology, medicinal and aromatic plants, ethnobotany, biodiversity, and essential oils.
\== Environmental and public service == Beyrouthy has served as an advisor to Lebanon's Ministry of Environment, specifically in the areas of biodiversity conservation, waste management, and eco-tourism. He was a national expert for the Convention on Biological Diversity and contributed to Lebanon’s National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP) and its Fifth National Report.
As CEO of Nature by Marc Beyrouthy, he has led numerous initiatives supporting local producers, sustainable landscaping, and environmental education. He also co-founded the Made by Nature hub, a community and commercial space for ecological products and artisanal food in Antelias, Lebanon and serves as its CEO.
\== Media work == Since 2009, Beyrouthy has hosted Nature on MTV Lebanon, a program promoting environmental awareness and showcasing rural and agricultural initiatives. He has appeared in over 1,800 episodes and has also featured in online video series in collaboration with food and travel platforms like NoGarlicNoOnions.
