Mautic is an Open Source Marketing Automation Software initially developed in 2013 in North Carolina, USA. The software belongs to the Marketing Automation category, which facilitates a number of marketing related features in one single platform, allowing for creation, execution and tracking of complex digital marketing campaigns.

Mautic mainly focuses on email management, while other marketing functions get relegated to a secondary order, as compared to other Marketing Automation suites available in the same market.

Inicially, Mautic was formed as a company, Mautic Inc, which was later acquired by Acquia.^[1] in 2019.

Towards the end of 2023, Aquia publicly disconnected itself from the Mautic community, however they remain active contributors in the Mautic community, and still keep using the software and commercializing it within their suite.
