Maksym Medyk (born February 1, 2000), known professionally as Max Medyk, is a Ukrainian-Canadian entrepreneur, social media influencer, and the founder and CEO of ImmigrateAI Global, an AI-powered platform that helps immigrants navigate the Canadian visa and permanent residency process. He is also the founder of I'm Canada Media, a digital content initiative with over 400,000 followers that simplifies Canadian government policy for newcomers.
Early Life and Education
[edit]Medyk was born in Ternopil, Ukraine. At the age of 15, he left Ukraine to attend high school in Boise, Idaho, in the United States. In 2018, he relocated to New Zealand, and in 2019, he immigrated to Canada to pursue post-secondary studies. He enrolled in the Culinary Management program at Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC), graduating in 2021. He speaks English, Ukrainian, Russian, and German.
Career

I'm Canada Media
[edit]In 2021, Medyk founded I'm Canada Media, a multilingual education platform for newcomers. His videos and infographics have amassed over 400,000 followers across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Bilibili. The platform became known for interpreting immigration policy and student visa trends in a simplified, accessible format.
ImmigrateAI Global
[edit]In 2024, Medyk launched ImmigrateAI Global, an AI-powered platform designed to help immigrants prepare their visa and PR applications more affordably and accurately. The tool, compared to "TurboTax for immigration," uses machine learning to analyze personal profiles and generate customized immigration guidance.
The company received funding from Invest Nova Scotia and Springboard Atlantic. As of 2024, it had grown to over 30,000 users across 140 countries. The platform includes tools like Student Visa Express and PR Compass, launched at the Nova Scotia Health Innovation Hub in 2025.
Medyk has led several public launches, including PR Compass in June 2025, where he was quoted as saying, “Healthcare workers are stuck doing immigration paperwork when instead they could be contributing to our beautiful province.”

He also presented at Web Summit Vancouver and signed MOUs with CanApply and Re-Defined, expanding ImmigrateAI’s reach through institutional partnerships.
Advocacy and Recognition
[edit]Medyk’s work has been covered in CTV News, Global News, Entrevestor, and Invest Nova Scotia. In 2023, he was interviewed on Global News about using AI to support international students in Canada.
In 2025, he was selected as a delegate for Canada at the G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa, organized by Futurpreneur.
He has interviewed and collaborated with Canadian political figures, including Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland, Premier David Eby, and Ministers Sean Fraser, Tim Houston, Rechie Valdez, and Jenna Sudds.

Personal Life
[edit]Medyk resides in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Outside of work, he enjoys beach walks and quiet moments away from the fast pace of entrepreneurship. He mentors young entrepreneurs, especially those from immigrant and underrepresented backgrounds.
