Comment: Gwinnett Forum is unreliable since it is a community forum that falls under WP:UGC. Ref. #3 is considered a WP:PRIMARY source as it is directly connected to Coker. There is only one independent and reliable source on this submission, which is not sufficient to establish notability. The subject is not presumed notable since he is just an elected local official, which does not guarantee notability (see WP:POLITICIAN). AstrooKai (Talk) 04:44, 18 January 2025 (UTC)

Michael Coker was elected the first mayor of Mulberry, Georgia.[1]
Prior to being elected mayor, Coker led the organization, Citizens for Mulberry, advocating for the creation of the City of Mulberry and defending the City's creation from various legal challenges in court.[2] On January 7, 2025, Coker successfully led the defense of Mulberry from a legal challenge brought by Gwinnett County in the Fulton County, Georgia superior court. [3]
After Mulberry's creation, Coker advocated for Mulberry at the Georgia State Capitol by testifying about disputes with Gwinnett County over the city's formation and operations.[4] Coker's advocacy led to the successful passage of a legislative bill which addressed the transition of services from certain counties to new cities.[5]
In addition to serving as mayor, Coker is a lawyer who practices law in Lawrenceville, Georgia.[6]
