Muhammad Faraz Qaiser (born 1992) is a Pakistani film director and producer based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He is known for producing sports-themed documentaries and feature films, including the internationally released biopic on Shoaib Akhtar, the former Pakistani cricket fast bowler.

Early life and education

Faraz was born in Pakistan in 1992. He completed his bachelor's degree in Film Production from SAE Institute in Dubai.

Career

Faraz began his career as a producer at Touchline, a creative agency where he worked on editorial productions involving high-profile figures such as Ban Ki-moon, the former Secretary-General of the United Nations, and Jimmy Carter, the former President of the United States. He produced an editorial campaign during Ban Ki-moon’s visit to Dubai in 2015, coinciding with the Government Summit, and also covered events involving Jimmy Carter at the 2015 Dubai World Cup through Vision Magazine.[1][2]

He later worked as a senior producer for Ford Middle East, producing television commercials and regional marketing campaigns.

Faraz eventually founded his own production company and creative agency in Dubai. Among his most prominent works is the feature film Rawalpindi Express, a biopic based on the life of legendary Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar. The film was shot internationally and is scheduled for distribution across over 100 countries.[3][4][5]

Faraz has also produced several award-winning short films, including The Wolves Beyond the Timber (2018) and The Box (2022), directed by Brock Keller. These films were officially selected at international festivals such as the Sydney Lift-Off Film Festival and the Los Angeles Film Awards. They won awards for Best Picture, Best Director, and other honors.[6][7][8][9]
