Onur Olguner was born in Nicosia in 1985. He earned his degree in architecture from METU and later completed his master's in building energy performance modeling at Cardiff University [2]. In 2010, he co-founded Olguner Architecture Office. Since 2011, he has served as a part-time lecturer at various universities.

In 2012, as a Board Member of the KTMMOB Chamber of Architects, he coordinated the commission responsible for implementing Disability Standards [3][4]. During his tenure, he contributed to the Digital Visa Submission Portal report, laying the groundwork for the Digital Visa system.

From 2014 to 2018, he was a board member overseeing projects at the Cyprus Turkish Orthopedic Disabled Association. Elected as a Lefkoşa Turkish Municipality Council Member in 2013, he served for two consecutive terms[5]. During this period, he chaired the Technical Affairs and Urban Design Committee of LTB, leading the implementation of the Nicosia Walled City Pedestrianization Project in 2013[6][7]. That same year, he also chaired the stakeholder committee formed by KTMMOB representatives, which introduced the country's first ‘Building Inspection’ application.[8] In 2020, he published “Bir Lefkoşa Hikayesi (A Nicosia Story)”[9] [10], a book focusing on Nicosia, municipal governance, and vision.

In 2022, he gave a Ted Talk about the contents of his book titled "Reimagining Nicosia".[11]

In 2024, he was elected as the president of the KTMMOB Chamber of Architects during the 55th Term Ordinary General Assembly, a position he continues to hold[12][13][14][15]
