PVcase is a multinational software corporation that provides a platform for solar power project development. The company is headquartered in Vilnius, Lithuania, and maintains offices and teams in Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
PVcase's integrated software assists with site selection, solar design, and yield optimization, aiming to automate and rationalize traditional processes in the solar industry.[1]
History
[edit]Founded in 2017, PVcase initially developed an AutoCAD-based solar design software for ground-mounted, large-scale solar power plant projects, launching version 2.0 of its tool three years later.[2] [3]
In 2023, PVcase expanded its offerings through the acquisition of Anderson Optimization (AO), an American company specializing in site selection for renewable energy projects. This led to the integration of AO's land prospecting platform into PVcase's software.[4]
Funding
[edit]Since its founding, PVcase has demonstrated substantial growth. In 2021, the company raised about €20 million in Series A funding, making it "the largest solar software company fundraising round in Europe."[5] Two years later, it secured another €89 million, bringing the company's total to over €109 million.[6]
In March 2024, PVcase was also recognized in the Financial Times' FT1000 list, ranking among the thousand fastest-growing companies in Europe. [7]
Accolades
[edit]PVcase's software has received multiple awards for its capabilities to streamline solar project development.
BloombergNEF recognized PVcase as one of the 2024 BNEF Pioneers Award winners for its contributions to "relieving the bottlenecks in the deployment of clean power."[8]
In 2025, G2 named PVcase Ground Mount, the company's utility-scale solar design software, one of the year's Best CAD & PLM Software Products.[9]
