Career
[edit]Born and raised in Hollywood, Florida, and under the tutelage of Melton Mustafa Jr, Bartley Jr became the the youngest musician to perform at the Jazz In The Gardens jazz festival, and got his first professional recording opportunity at age 17.[2]
Bartley Jr was exposed to jazz at a young age, and his passion for music developed during his high school years as he started playing the saxophone, marking the beginning of his journey with music. [3]
Bartley approaches composition and improvisation from a visual and narrative perspective, taking inspiration from video games, anime, and sci-fi adventure.[4]
