Draft:Shirin Ariff

  • Comment: There are mentions of her and even some more in-depth references, but they are not from reliable sources. They look like mainly blogs. I did a quick WP:BEFORE and see she has written more than just the one book. Are you able to show reviews of these books? If so, she may qualify under WP:NAUTHORC3. Shirin Ariff is an Indo-Canadian author[1] who wrote "Cancer Heroes: Lovingly Woven Stories of Healing, Survival, and Profound Transformation[2]" about cancer survivors.[3] The book is a collection of stories written by cancer patients who survived. Ariff writes about their cancer experiences, from diagnosis and anxiety.[4] Each story walks through their illness and how it affected their life.[5] Ariff also wrote "The Second Wife: Seduced into Slavery,'' a memoir about a failed, abusive[6] marriage.[7][8]

Ariff is also a survivor of cancer, and established National Cancer Hero Day to raise awareness for those affected by cancer.[9] Her writing has resonated with many, particularly those in the immigrant community, who face similar struggles.[10]

Background

[edit]

Born and raised in India to an influential family, Ariff immigrated to Canada.[11] In Canada, she established herself in various business ventures, and became a speaker providing insights into overcoming adversity.[12] She regularly speaks to encourage individuals[13] to know limits and embrace potential.[14] Her message focuses empowerment, self-love, and the importance of mental health.[15]
