Siki Im is a Korean-German designer renowned for his intellectual and cross-disciplinary approach to fashion design.

He is the founder of the luxury menswear label SIKI IM and its casualwear extension DEN IM and sportswear line SIKI IM CROSS. Im has also held senior design roles at prominent fashion houses and is recognised for his contributions to design education.

Born in Cologne to South Korean parents, he initially pursued a career in architecture at Oxford before transitioning into the fashion industry. His early career included roles under Karl Lagerfeld and as head designer for both men’s and women’s lines at Helmut Lang.[1][2][3][4]

In 2009, Im launched his eponymous luxury label, SIKI IM, in New York City. His designs are deeply influenced by cultural and philosophical theory, architecture, and subcultural aesthetics, often exploring themes of identity and modern masculinity. The brand is known for its artisanal tailoring and gender-fluid silhouettes, all produced in the United States.[5]

Beyond fashion, Im founded SIKI IM STUDIO, a multidisciplinary practice encompassing architecture, furniture, branding, and product design.[6] [7]

Im also launched SI/X (Siki Im Cross), a high-performance activewear line that blends athletic functionality with subcultural influences, catering to activities ranging from sports to techno and punk scenes.[8][9]

His contributions to fashion have been recognised with awards such as Woolmark Prize, the Samsung Fashion & Design Fund, the Ecco Domani Award and the Vilcek Prize for Creative Promise.[10]
