Comment: not clear how they would meet WP:NAUTHOR or WP:GNG not seeing any significant coverage in independent sources? Theroadislong (talk) 13:05, 17 June 2025 (UTC)
Comment: Fails WP:GNG and layout is all over the place, WP:TNT required. Theroadislong (talk) 13:05, 17 June 2025 (UTC)

Simone Falanca (born 1979) is an Italian author and columnist whose investigative and cultural work has been published and cited internationally. He is known for exploring the intersections of politics, organized crime, and art. Falanca’s books are held in major libraries such as the New York Public Library[1] and Princeton University Library[2], and he has been featured in independent interviews and institutional commentary for his research into political violence, the Mafia, and European memory culture.[3][4][5]
Career
[edit]Falanca began his career with two politically investigative books in 2003, published by Frilli Editori. His first, Banche armate alla guerra, examined the role of Italian banking institutions in military financing.[6] His second, Alfa e Beta: Cosa c’entrano Berlusconi e Dell’Utri con la stagione delle bombe 1992–93?, investigated political ties to the 1992–93 Italian bombing campaign.[7]
In 2025, Falanca published Click, Bid, Collect: The Modern Guide to Online Art Buying with Goff Books, a practical and reflective work on the psychology and mechanics of digital art collecting.[8]
Recognition and Influence
[edit]Falanca's historical research—particularly his writing on Brussels’ Jewish past and the "Escalier des Juifs"—has been cited by institutions such as the Institut Jonathas[9] and discussed in independent cultural commentary such as the blog *Textes & Prétextes*.[10] His research and books are also archived at Princeton University Library as part of their political history collections.[11]
He was interviewed by the Italian press on the role of Berlusconi and media in Mafia-related narratives.[12] In *L’Unione Sarda*, he authored a cultural piece on Costantino Nivola’s legacy as Sardinian artist and dissident.[13]
