Sublime Galleria in UB City, Bengaluru, is an art gallery that showcases a curated selection of contemporary artwork. It is India’s first sky gallery, and has hosted and participated in various art festivals and exhibitions, including World Art Dubai.[1]

Background

Founded in 2009 by Uzma Irfan, who serves as a Director at the Prestige Group, Sublime Galleria’s flagship space is in UB City, Bengaluru, a premier commercial and cultural hub[1]. In 2024, it launched a second gallery space in Hyderabad’s Financial District, marking its first expansion outside Bengaluru.[2] The gallery fosters fine and performing arts by supporting upcoming and aspiring artists, offering buyers quality artworks.[1]

Exhibitions and Events

Sublime Galleria has curated more than 90 exhibitions, featuring the works of over 100 artists and more than 2,000 artworks. [3] Significant exhibitions include:

  • Carpeted  Journeys Within (2025) – An exhibition that focuses on the journeys of overcoming obstacles and healing using augmented reality and sounds.[4]
  • Rhythm of Emotions (2025) – An exhibition which showcases as many as 25 sculptures which have been created using terracotta.[5]
  • Amalgamation (2024) – A digital art series by Vijit Pillai, inaugurated at the Hyderabad space.[6]
  • Freedom of the Soul (2024) – A philanthropic initiative where proceeds were donated to charitable causes.[7]
  • Faith Collection by Ashraf Motiwala (2022) – A curated collection of priceless pieces hosted at India’s first mid-air art gallery experience.[8]
  • Terrain Of a City (2020) – A curated collection of priceless pieces hosted at India’s first mid-air art gallery experience.[9]

Sublime Art Commissioning

Sublime Art Commissioning, established in 2018, strives to transform “visions into masterpieces” through bespoke artistic collaborations.[1]

Art Bengaluru

One of its key initiatives, Art Bengaluru, is an annual festival dedicated to showcasing national and international artists. The festival has been instrumental in shaping Bengaluru’s contemporary art scene.[3]
