The Rookies' Dream

Everyone starts as a rookie, but deep down, each one dreams of becoming an expert.

In 2013, a team of amateur climbers led by Yu Liang, the President of Vanke, reached Everest Base Camp. After a month and a half of intensive training, the team successfully summited Mount Everest, conquering the world’s highest peak at 8,844 meters.

The Furthering of 8848

On the road to the summit of Everest, some press on while others turn back.

At 8,848 meters, the highest point on Earth—what truly awaits you at the top?

In May 2010, Wang Shi, along with BGI Chairman Wang Jian and four others, successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest. Their climb was part of the “Zero Kilometer to Everest” environmental initiative, during which they also carried the World Expo flag to the highest point on the planet.
