Vanlallawmawmi (born 3 July 2004), also known by her stage names Vli Fanai and Awmawmi, is an actress and singer from Bawngkawn South, Aizawl, Mizoram. She is known for her prominent roles in Mizo-language films and for her award-winning gospel music. She gained public attention after reaching the Top 10 of the LPS Youth Icon 2019 competition and rose to popularity through performances in films like Mimi, Keimah Thingtlang Nula, and Tah Chuan a Leng.
Early Life
[edit]Vanlallawmawmi was born on 3 July 2004 in Bawngkawn South, Aizawl. She comes from a family of five daughters and grew up with four sisters. From a young age, she showed a deep interest in acting and singing, which later shaped her career in regional entertainment.

[edit]Vanlallawmawmi began her career in entertainment after being selected among the Top 10 finalists of LPS Youth Icon 2019, a popular talent show in Mizoram. She quickly transitioned into acting and has since become a well-known face in the Mizo film industry.
Her breakthrough role came in the film Mimi, in which she played the main character. She went on to star in the bilingual Mizo-Hindi movie Friends from Mini Hotel. However, it was her role as Remkalami in Keimah Thingtlang Nula that significantly boosted her public profile.
In Tah Chuan a Leng, a biographical film about the Mizo music legend Joseph Zaihmingthanga, she portrayed Apuii, the woman who inspired the title song. Although she played the second main character after the actor portraying Joseph, her performance received wide praise for its emotional depth and cultural impact.
