Draft:WPRV (Florida)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  • Comment: This draft is missing a WP:Credible claim of significance - i.e. a defunct radio station is not inherently notable just because it existed. There must be in-depth coverage in multiple, reliable, secondary sources to demonstrate WP:GNG and/or WP:NCORP. For instance, while the Tampa Tribute piece you cited does mention WPRV and could be used as a reference, it doesn't support a claim of notability because it is not in-depth coverage of WPRV - it's brief, relatively routine coverage of two radio stations merging without particular detail devoted to either. WPRV (1600 AM) was a radio station located in Wauchula, Florida broadcast from August 19, 1964 to April 4, 1971, with its license deleted on March 29, 1973.[1] [2] WPRV was a member of the Gator Network. [3]
