War of Infamy is a total conversion mod for the original Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon (2001) developed by the War of Infamy Team. The mod focuses on authentic World War II tactical combat, offering new campaigns, weapons, vehicles, maps, and missions set during various WWII theaters.
Development
[edit]The project was led by DonMiguel, who managed mod structure, sound engineering, modeling, design, ballistics, programming, and testing. The team included Ransome (co-leader), El_Oso (authenticity and mapping advisor), BajaBravo (character modeling), Rebar (mission scripting), and other contributors specializing in weapons, vehicles, textures, and authenticity.[1]
Release history and expansions
[edit]The mod was originally released in 2003 and was followed by several expansions and add-ons, including:

- Pacific Theater
- Omaha Beach
- Iron Sights Mod
- Custom Music Pack
Additionally, a crossover mod with Frostbite combined elements of both mods for enhanced gameplay.
Gameplay
[edit]War of Infamy features enhanced AI, new WWII-era weapons and vehicles, historically accurate maps, and mission scripting designed to reflect authentic tactical combat scenarios. It includes multiplayer integration and various gameplay improvements.
