Zahanat AI is Pakistan's first indigenous generative pre-trained transformer (GPT) platform, launched in March 2025 by Mehwish Salman Ali and developed by the Pakistani technology company Data Vault. The platform is designed to provide culturally relevant, multilingual, and sovereign AI solutions tailored to Pakistan's digital and regulatory environment.
Overview
[edit]Zahanat AI was built using Meta's LLaMA (Large Language Model Meta AI) architecture and features over 1.5 billion parameters. Developed in six to eight months, it was trained using a domestic multi-GPU infrastructure and was privately funded without external dependencies.[1]
