Elmshorn is a town in Pinneberg in Schleswig-Holstein in Germany. It is 30 km north of Hamburg on the small river Krückau, a tributary of the Elbe. About 50,000 people live there, which makes it the sixth-largest town in Schleswig-Holstein by population. Mathematician Hermann Weyl was born here.
