FuseBase (previously Nimbus Note and Nimbus Platform) is a next-generation B2B SaaS platform providing secure, branded workspaces and AI-powered portals for both internal teams and external collaboration. FuseBase stands out for its advanced AI Agents—customizable digital assistants that automate workflows, surface knowledge, and streamline collaboration for any department or client-facing function.[1] The platform is among the first to support the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard enabling seamless integration of AI agents with external tools, systems, and data sources.[2]
History
[edit]The platform was founded in 2014 as Nimbus Note, the platform started as a cross-platform note-taking and information management tool.[3][4] As it evolved into Nimbus Platform, it added project management and client portal capabilities.[5] In 2023, the company rebranded as FuseBase, pivoting to connect and automate both internal and external collaboration through AI Agents and cutting-edge protocol adoption like MCP.[6] At the same time, FuseBase was named Product of the Year on Product Hunt.[7]
Technical overview
[edit]FuseBase enables organizations to centralize work, eliminate busywork, and deliver seamless experiences for teams, clients, and partners. Its unique approach embeds AI Agents directly into every part of the workspace, allowing for process automation, knowledge management, and contextual assistance wherever work happens.[8][9]
The platform integrates the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open-source framework created by Anthropic. MCP allows AI models to securely access and interact with external data, tools, and systems.[10] This enables FuseBase AI Agents to gather relevant context, perform actions, and provide more advanced automation.[11]
Users can access AI Agents through a browser extension. This lets them do real-time research, update CRM systems, handle outreach, and automate documents while working online.
FuseBase includes an Automation Hub with a drag-and-drop interface. It lets users build workflows that connect multiple apps. This reduces the need for separate scripts and tools by letting AI Agents manage cross-app processes.[12]
Portals, workspaces, and AI agent interfaces can be fully customized and branded. This makes it easy to tailor the experience for different departments or specific use cases.
Security features include Single Sign-On (SSO), two-factor authentication (2FA), encryption, and detailed permission controls. These options help ensure safe access for both internal team members and external users.
