Ibitsu
There is something a bit twisted inside of the teenage girl Madoka. It comes out one day when she has to deal with a groper on a public train. He may be scarred for life by the time she's finally through with him. But for her, at least, this encounter may only be the beginning…
Ibitsu (いびつ, "Warped") is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kazuto Okada. It was adapted into a live action film in 2013.[1][2]
The beginning
[edit]SPOILERS AHEAD : The story takes off presenting what looks like groping, which we soon learn is Madoka being molested in a train. At first glance while looking around, she only sees Kakiguchi, who seems ignorant to the situation. Madoka decides she will use a sort of needle to "stab" the hand that's feeling her up. A sudden jolt of the train causes Kakiguchi to fall towards Madoka, landing his hand onto her needle, giving her the idea it was him all along.
Following a quick trip to the police station, while Kakiguchi is giving his information to the officers, attempting to prove he's 22 and not a child (due to his very short height), from his bag, a sex toy falls off. Madoka seeing this feels amused, and in exchange for taking obscene photos of Kakiguchi with it she drops the charges.
The following chapters
[edit]In a quick summary, Madoka is amused by Kakiguchi so she decides to move into his home with him. As we learn, he makes sex dolls for himself, so Madoka starts aiding him, making a doll based off her. Over the following chapters, their relationship develops as any rom-com will, Kakiguchi being the character pushing against love, lust and affection (if we can even call it that), While Madoka does the opposite. We also meet Hiroshi, who has a crush on Madoka (unrequited), and after learning of kakiguchi, beats him up. It is in chapter 15 that we are introduced to Sawayaka-kun. In this chapter, kakiguchi's back is hurt so he can't go to work (sex toy store). Him asking Madoka to please go for him, as a customer will be picking up a package. While at the store, Madoka meets a man, who, tricking her into giving his hand to her, ends up dirtying it with cum. This man happened to be both the customer picking up the package, as well as her new English teacher. Said teacher develops a sick attraction to Madoka.
The Main Problem
[edit]The problem here is introduced when Madoka's best friend, Megumi, is hinted to having a relationship which Sawaya, who as we know, is sick for Madoka. Using Megumi as blackmail, he makes Madoka start doing his bidding (wearing certain clothes, and, NOT wearing certain clothes). During an altercation between Madoka and Sawaya, in a staircase, he "takes it out" and starts going to town. Madoka takes her chance and snaps a picture of him in the act. For once the teacher is angry and rushes to her in hopes of deleting the picture. He's too late as Madoka has sent it to Kakiguchi. Sadly in the picture it's revealed she didnt get a clear shot, and only shows Sawaya past his chest. Kakiguchi, unknowing of the situation, deletes the photo. It doesn't help much that when Kakiguchi questions Madoka on the photo she tells him to forget about it.
The turning point
[edit]As revenge for the event earlier, Sawaya goes to the Sex store where Kakiguchi is, and Kakiguchi unknowing of previous events, has no issue trusting Sawaya. Sawaya is purchasing some toys to make your partner be unable to move (and a dildo), and as store policy, Kakiguchi follows him home to teach him how to use the items. Kakiguchi is then violated and recorded by Sawaya, who then sends the video to Madoka. This is a turning point because the series of events is finally brought out to light for Kakiguchi, who then doesn't want to do anything with Madoka, and goes as far as to not come back home for the following days. Madoka finds him, explains some stuff, and we go back to normal (little did we know).
The ending
[edit]As we reach the ending, Sawaya blackmails Madoka with uploading the video online, unless she does as he says. She does as he wants her to until shes caught by Megumi in a classroom. Megumi goes MIA, but comes back later for revenge agaisnt Madoka. The scene opens with police detectives tracking down someone who's bought dangerous illegal chemicals. Megumi uses said chemicals on Madoka, hospitalizing her. While being questioned by police, Megumi tells them all about Sawaya. Police proceed to arrest Sawaya, who proceeds to upload the video. With Kakiguchi's face leaked online, Madoka in the hospital, the ending is wrapped up in the following couple of chapters. Madoka's mom picking up Madoka's insurance card for the hospital, Kakiguchi not knowing the full extent of what happened, but later on finding out of the video. We get a time skip to a Madoka who's now healed, searching for a Kakiguchi who left his home long ago due to being recognized. Rumors of a man and his creepy doll are going around, and it's said he was spotted in the underground subway. Madoka now in college, hurries towards the underground hoping it's Kakiguchi she will meet. She spots him from the distance and begins running towards him, but Hiroshi steps in, drunk, at first trying to reconnect with her, but seeing as it wont happen, he gets angry. In an anger burst he pushes Madoka to the train tracks, where it just so happened the train was passing. Kakiguchi wasn't aware Madoka was looking for him, and he didn't spot her from afar. The scene closes with him, sitting, next to an unfinished doll.
