Yusuf Paul Kimesere (born 9 October 1994 (age 30), better known by his online name Kili Paul) is a YouTuber and Influencer and Film actor from Tanzania.[2] [3] He is best known for his lip-syncing and dance videos to Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu songs. He has gained popularity and a significant following, especially in India.[4]He has appeared as a guest on Bigg Boss (Hindi TV series) season 16.[5]

Early life

Kili Paul was born in the village of Mindu Tulieni in the town of Lugoba,Coast Region of Tanzania.[6] His parents are Maasai who are engaged in pastoralism. Before becoming famous on social media, Kili Paul was fond of creating content that describes the daily life of the Maasai people and their culture. [7]On many occasions, he sang and recited songs of different genres and styles. In 2021, he and his sister Neema Paul lip-synced to the song Raataan Lampiyan from the Hindi film Shershaah and uploaded it on YouTube. [8]

One of the famous people who are interested in the content of Kili Paul and his sister is the Prime Minister of India known as Narendra Modi.[9]

Kili Paul arrived in Kerala to act in his first Malayalam film, Innocent, and his second film, Massai Warrior, which tells the story of his own life.[10]

Award & Honour

Kili Paul was the Content Creator of the Year winner at the Tanzania Digital Awards in 2022, and was honoured by the Indian High Commission in Tanzania.[11][12]
