Man-Ape is a fictional supervillain character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. His real name is M'Baku, and he is traditionally depicted as a warrior and antagonist to the superhero Black Panther. M'Baku hails from the fictional African nation of Wakanda and is a member of the Gorilla-Man tribe, known for their strength, combat skills, and reverence for the gorilla deity, Hanuman.
