River City is a long running BBC Scotland soap opera from Scotland. This is a list of characters who first appeared on the programme during 2012 and 2013.

She is the mother of Robbie Fraser.[6]

Sean Kennedy is a fictional character from the long-running BBC Scotland soap opera River City portrayed by James Cunningham.[7]

Sean runs over and kills Derek Henderson.[8] As part of River City’s 10th anniversary celebrations, a dramatic episode saw landlord Raymond Henderson (Paul Samson) blow up the Tall Ship pub in order to cover up his murder of criminal Sean.[9]

Jamie McAllister

Jamie McAllister is a fictional character from the long-running BBC Scotland soap opera River City played by Mark Rowley.[10] He was involved in a rape accusation storyline.[11] He was accused by barmaid Zinnie Hassoun (Nalini Chetty).[12] The case went to trial in February 2014.[13]

Billy Kennedy

Billy Kennedy is a fictional character from the long-running BBC Scotland soap opera River City played by Alexander Morton.[14]

Billy is the husband of Mandy Kennedy and uncle of Jamie McAllister (Mark Rowley).[15]

Mandy Kennedy

Mandy Kennedy is a fictional character from the long-running BBC Scotland soap opera River City played by Julie Austin from 2012 to 2014.


She is the wife of gangster Billy Kennedy.[15]

Alex Murdoch

Alex Murdoch (also McAllister) is a fictional character from the long-running BBC Scotland soap opera River City played by Jordan Young.[16] Alex joined in 2013.[17]

He is the son of Lenny Murdoch.[18]

Gareth O'Connor

Gareth O'Connor is a fictional character from the long-running BBC Scotland soap opera River City played by Paul Brannigan.[19]

Mark Walker

Mark Walker is a fictional character from the long-running BBC Scotland soap opera River City played by Fin MacMillan.[20] He is the brother of Stella Walker.[21]
