McCartney II er det andre soloalbumet til Paul McCartney, gjeve ut 16. mai 1980. Det vart hovudsakleg spelt inn av McCartney aleine i heimestudioet hans i 1979, kort tid før bandet hans, Wings, vart oppløyst i 1981. Albumet er musikalsk ganske så annleis det McCartney hadde laga før, og det vert nytta mykje synthesizer og eksperimentering i studio, medan musikkstilen varierer frå synth-pop og new wave til electronica. Albumet har blitt ein kultfavoritt.[16]

McCartney II kom ut i midten av mai 1980 og fekk stort sett negativ omtale. Det gjekk likevel til topps på albumlista i Storbritannia, den første førsteplassen til McCartney der sidan Venus and Mars i 1975.[17] Den andre singelen frå albumet, «Waterfalls», vart òg ein suksess i Storbritannia og nådde niandeplassen på singellista.[17] I USA nådde singelen «Coming Up» og albumet tredjeplassen på Billboard-lista.[18] «Waterfalls» nådde berre 106. plassen i USA.

I 2003 kåra Mojo plasserte albumet på 26. plassen på lista si over dei 50 beste eksentriske albuma.[19]

I 2011 kom albumet ut på Hear Music/Concord Music Group i fleire forskjellige format:[20]

  • Standardutgåve 1-CD; det originale albumet
  • Spesialutgåve 2-CD; det originale albumet, pluss åtte bonusspor på den andre plata[21]
  • Luksusutgåve 3-CD/1-DVD; same som spesialutgåva, men med ei bok på 128 sider med fotografi tekne av Linda McCartney. DVD-en inneheld sjeldne og tidlegare ikkje utgjeven videoklipp.[22]
  • Nymastra vinyl 2-LP med innhaldet frå spesialutgåva og ei nedlastinglenkje for å laste ned alt innhaldet[23]
