Metro... In Dino (transl. Metro... Nowadays) is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film and Crime Action Thriller film written and directed by Anurag Basu, and produced by T-Series Films and Anurag Basu Productions.[1] It is a spiritual sequel to Basu's Life in a... Metro (2007). The film is an anthology consisting of 4 stories of contemporary couples and stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Kay Kay Menon, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta and Anupam Kher.[2] The film was officially announced in December 2022. Principal photography began in December 2022 and concluded in February 2024, and took place across Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Lucknow.[3][4][5][6]
Its title derives from the song "In Dino" from Life in a... Metro.[7]
Metro... In Dino is scheduled to release on 4 July 2025.
Premise
[edit]The film is an anthology of four stories of contemporary couples. All four stories are set to connect with each other at some point in the film. The four stories are set in four metro cities in India- Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore.

Production

[edit]Konkana Sen Sharma was retained from the original film. Anurag Basu cast Aditya Roy Kapur and Fatima Sana Sheikh once again after appearing together in the Netflix original Ludo (2020).[10] Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Anupam Kher, and Neena Gupta were cast as the other leads.
Filming
[edit]Principal photography began in December 2022 in Kolkata.[11] Filming concluded in February 2024 in Delhi, which was preceded by scenes being shot at the Barog railway station, in Himachal Pradesh, which wrapped on 5 February 2025 [12]
Music
[edit]The film's music is composed by Pritam, who collaborates with Anurag Basu after Life in a... Metro (2007).[13] Anupam Kher has sung a song for the film. [14]

Release
[edit]Metro...in Dino is scheduled for a theatrical release on 4 July 2025.[15] It was originally slated for a theatrical release on 29 November 2024.[16]
