Mitch and Murray Productions

Mitch and Murray Productions is a professional theatre company based in Vancouver, BC . Founded in 2012 by Artistic Director Aaron Craven,[1] the company produces provocative, engaging, contemporary plays from the great playwrights of the global stage. They are also renowned for their "Acting Atypical" workshops[2][3] for the autistic community.
The company has staged Vancouver premieres from playwrights including Will Arbery,[4] Annie Baker, Mike Bartlett,[5] Duncan Macmillan[6] and David Mamet.[7] Mitch and Murray Productions has been nominated for seventeen Jessie Richardson Theatre Awards.[8] In 2023, the company staged the world premiere of Instantaneous Blue[9] by Aaron Craven. The play, a semi-autobiographical piece about a family's struggles with Alzheimer's disease, received widespread media coverage, including interviews on CBC Q with Tom Power[10] and The Vancouver Sun,[11] and played to sold-out houses at The Waterfront Theatre.
The company is also home to The Working Actors Gym,[12] a popular acting school located in downtown Vancouver.
