Nadeem Zaki Manj is a retired officer of the Pakistan Army who served in multiple key roles including as Director General of the Strategic Plans Division, Corps Commander of I Corps in Mangla, and Director General Military Intelligence.

Military career

Manj was commissioned into the Pakistan Armoured Corps on 13 March 1987, as part of the 75th Pakistan Military Academy Long Course.[1]

In September 2015, he was appointed Director General Military Intelligence (DGMI), succeeding Lieutenant General Sarfraz Sattar.[2] He remained in this role until 2016, after which Major General Asim Munir took over the position.

In October 2018, following his promotion to lieutenant general, Manj was appointed as Commander of I Corps Mangla, one of Pakistan Army's principal strike formations.[3] He served in this capacity until November 2019.

In November 2019, he was appointed Director General of the Strategic Plans Division (SPD), which oversees the security and command of Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal. He served in this capacity until October 2022.[4]
