Naina Bhan (born 20 April 1992) is an Indian actress, singer, model, influencer, intimacy co-ordinator[1], director, and podcaster. She is best known for her role as Koel Kalra in the Indian Netflix series Class, which is based on the Spanish Netflix series Elite.[2][3]

She is also known for co-hosting the podcast Moment of Silence alongside Instagram influencer Sakshi Shivdasani.[4][5]

Early Life and Education

Naina Bhan was born on 21 April 1992[6] in South Delhi, India in a Kashmiri Pandit household.[7][8]

Bhan graduated with a Bachelor's in history from Miranda House, University of Delhi[9] and a Master's in film and video making from National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.[7]

Career

Bhan was an editor at the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage.[10] She also worked as a stylist assistant for Elle.[10]

Bhan also worked with an Indian talent agency A Little Fly and interned for NDTV Good Times in New Delhi, where she assisted in creating promotional advertisements for different shows on the television channel.[10]

She made her OTT debut in 2019 in the Indian Amazon Prime Video series Made in Heaven as Dilshad, the ex-girlfriend of Kabir Basrai, in a recurring role.[11] In 2023, she starred in the role of Koel Kalra in the Netflix series Class, which is based on the Spanish Netflix series Elite.[12]

For her role in Class, Bhan was nominated for the Debut Actor/Actress of the Year in a Series award at the 2024 Times of India Film Awards. Bhan, alongside her Class cast mates was the winner of OTT Ensemble Cast of the Year award at the 2023 Grazia Millenial Awards[13] and the Most Stylish Ensemble Cast award at the 2023 HT India's Most Stylish Awards.[14]

She is also the intimacy co-ordinator for Class and was for the 2024 film All We Imagine as Light as well by Payal Kapadia.[15]

Bhan is the co-host of the podcast Moment of Silence alongside Instagram influencer Sakshi Shivdasani.[16][17]

She played the female lead in Indian musician King's music video for his song Tu Jaana Na Piya.[18] Bhan used to be the lead vocalist of an Indie rock band Fat Saturday who are known for their song Perfect Trap.[19] She directed the music video of the Indie rock Indian band Kraken for their song Khan Market Gang.[20]

In 2025, she released a solo song accompanied by a music video titled Ruk Jao Na.[19]

Bhan has also appeared in several commercials, most notably for Knorr India alongside Jackie Shroff and PhonePe where she plays their brand character Arya.[21]

Personal Life

She is the cousin of Indian journalist and news anchor Shereen Bhan who serves as the managing editor of CNBC TV18, an Indian business and financial news television channel. Bhan has a sister.[7]
