Omlo is an upcoming Indian social drama film directed by debutant filmmaker Sonu Randeep Choudhury.[3]

Production

Omlo is produced under the banner of Hare Krishna Pictures. The film is produced by Neha Pandey, Rohit Makhija, Manish Goplani, and Sonu Randeep Choudhury, with Ajay Rathore, Arvind Dagur, and Yatin Rathore as co-producers.[4] Neha Pandey and Manish Goplani also worked as executive producers. The film is directed by Sonu Randeep Choudhury, who also wrote the story, screenplay, and dialogues. The cinematography is by Wilson Rabinse, and the editing is done by Navneet Kumar Sinha. The music is composed by Gazi Khan Barna and Bhuvan Ahuja, with lyrics written by Sonu Randeep Choudhury. The background score is created by Devendra Bhome. Costumes are designed by Neha Pandey, Rohit Makhija curated the cast for the film and Yatin Rathore served as both the art director and head of production. The film was shot in Shri Dungargarh, Bikaner.

Plot

Omlo is a heart-wrenching narrative that revolves around a 7-year-old boy and a camel, who are individually going through the same circumstances in life which is “helplessness”. As the boy experiences fear and trauma within a troubled and abusive household. The film shows how these patterns have been passed down from his father and grandfather. It highlights the silent suffering of women in a patriarchal system and the hope that the next generation might finally break the cycle of violence.[5]

The film was sold at the Cannes Film Market in May 2025 and has been noted for its emotionally resonant storytelling and realistic cinematic style.[6]
