Open Spaces is a 1927 Australian play by Harry Tighe.[2][3]

The play was first performed in London in 1927 and received numerous subsequent performances throughout Europe and Australia.[4][5][6]

Premise

Jim is visited at a farm in outback Australia but his estranged wife, Marjorie.

Reception

Reviewing the 1927 production The Daily Telegraph thought Tighe "keeps the story moving very well."[7]

The Observer declared "this stark little play had its points" but "it was difficult to go on caring very much what happened to these people."[8]
