Life

[edit]

Othman was the son of Idris I and Famafa.[2] He succeeded his cousin, Othman I,[2] as mai in 1366,[1] after Othman I's death in the war against the Bilala people.[3] Othman II continued this war for two years, until he met the same fate[3] in 1368.[1] Othman was succeeded as mai by his cousin (and Othman I's brother) Abubakar Liyatu.[2]
