Peter Seajong Shin (신세종) is an American composer and 2025 Guggenheim Fellow[1] in residence at Princeton University. Bits torn from words, a choral work about the reclaiming of his mother tongue, was included in Roomful of Teeth's GRAMMY Award-winning[2] album, Rough Magic.[3][4]

Other honors include both the American Academy of Arts and Letters Charles Ives Scholarship (2023[5]) and Charles Ives Fellowship (2023[6]), and a MacDowell Colony Fellowship (2025[7]).
