Qanot Sharq is an airline based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

History

[edit]

The airline was launched in 1998 with a single Ilyushin Il-76 cargo plane. It ceased operations in 2012 and returned its air operator's certificate.[1]

In 2021, the airline re-launched operations, leasing two used Airbus A320-200s from Air Lease Corporation.[1] It launched its first passenger flight on October 14, 2021 from Tashkent International Airport to Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow.[3]

In February 2025, the company leased 5 A321neos from Air Lease Corporation.[4] It also agreed to lease three Airbus A321XLRs and two A321LRs from Air Lease starting in 2026 and 2027.[2][5]
