Rahava or Rogovo (Belarusian: Рагава; Russian: Рогово) is a village in Minsk District, Minsk Region, Belarus located 30 kilometres (19 mi) north of the capital Minsk.
As of 2025[update] it is the administrative center of the Sharshuny rural council, for historical reasons. It is planned to move the administration to an agrotown, as with other rural councils that include agrotowns.[2][better source needed] Previously it served as the administrative center of Rahava rural council .[3]
History
[edit]Greek-Catholic church of St. George was built here in 1814 by landowner Wołodkowicz.
Parishioners-Uniates converted to Orthodoxy in 1839, since 1868 has been a transition of Catholics.
Newer stone church of St. Constantine and Elena, built at government expense, was consecrated on 8 September 1869.
